Colma General Plan For the Town of Colma, California |
|
In 1999 the Town of Colma embarked on a comprehensive update of its General Plan with the stated goal of sustaining the essential economic, environmental and social attributes of the Town. Colma is unique in its large expanses of open space related to the cemeteries (nearly three-quarters of the total land area). The Plan concept was to strengthen the Towns identity, with emphasis on the important greenbelt theme of Colma, but also enhancing its residential environment and promoting its important status as a regional center for commerce. The updated plan included the mandatory elements addressing land use, circulation, open space, conservation, housing noise and safety, and added a new Historic Resources Element. |
